Casey and I met at an annual July 4th party back in July 2007. I was invited by her friend Aaron and Casey was invited by his friend Jesse (Aaron and Jesse are brothers). Aaron and Jesse's parents were hosting the party. As soon as I set eyes on Casey, since he was fashionably late to the event, it was love! They truly hit it off that night and Casey even asked for her number. Although, he didn't call or contact me for another 3 months after. After he found out that I had got a job in Lexington (via myspace), he decided to ask me out to grab a beer or something. Well, I don't drink beer, but we hung out anyway. We started dating a few weeks later, the exact day that I moved to Lexington, October 5th, 2007. We kept a long distance relationship for 8 months before I moved back to Louisville. After moving back to Louisville and have a relationship in the same city, Casey decided to propose in July of 2009.

We decided to go down to Bernheim Forest earlier in the week since it was supposed to be a beautiful day on Sunday. On Sunday morning we decided that we should have a picnic down there as well. After finding the perfect spot and eating our lunch I decided to take a litle nap since it was so peaceful and relaxing. as I was laying down Casey pulled out the ring, sat it in front on me and said, "hey buddy, will you marry me?" (he calls me his buddy, that's why he said that). I jump up and start asking 20 questions, "Are you for real? Are you serious? Did you ask my mom? When did you ask my mom? Are you crazy?" I never quite said yes even though that was the answer! We finally got back to the car so I could call people and he said, "I take it your answer is yes," and I said, "Oh yeah, of course it is!"
